Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington works as an writer, philanthropist and television host, and owner of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she moved to England when she was sixteen and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it when she was 21. Following the graduation ceremony, she became a well-known right-wing syndicated reporter. A few more years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present politics. The fame of Arianna helped to attract several famous contributors who shared their opinions on the news as well as politics and culture. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of the Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. Forbes identified her as the top female in the media industry in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as in the 12th spot on Forbes' listing. The Guardian also included her to the list of 100 most influential media in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was made president of the media company. It included a variety of AOL properties of that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were an expert in management and a journalist. Though she shared a close connection to both of her parents but it was their connection that shaped her. Through her early period, she displayed the qualities of a leader for which she is still well-known. When she was 16 years old the girl moved in England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. As a student and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the debate societies in the college which she later became the first foreign and female president. She graduated in 1972 with an advanced degree in Economics. After the graduation ceremony, she was an editor of the critic's column and a television host.
