April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player from the United States She is one of a small set of females who've had medals won in more than one Olympics. She is set to compete in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic medal alongside Alix Klineman, who is a first-time Olympian. Ross also hopes to get her very first Olympic medal. As she is 39 and has a long way to go, this could be her last chance. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even playing well I believe we can get the gold medal." Also, I'll take the opportunity to try my chances. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. Ross played in numerous activities while at Newport Harbor High School. While a prep student, she competed in indoor volleyball along with basketball and running track. In the last sport she stood out. The college bio says that she was an outside-hitting hitter, middle blocker, as well as a setter during her volleyball career during high school. Her achievements were rewarded by her being named 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National players of the year. Also, she won the award in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may have begun working together in the year 2017, however Ross had already been a seasoned volleyball player before they came together. She actually won several major championships while playing with two different partners, among them an icon of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to the year 2013. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who took home the title of world champion together with Kessy in 2009, was also a major force on an international level. The pair eventually picked up a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team as well as Kerri Jennings took home the gold. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor after she had retired. Both went on to win the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross began her collegiate professional career playing for the Trojans of USC after high school. It was a long time before Ross hit the beach and became a pro. And her run in the Trojans' ranks was one to remember. The year 2000 was her freshman year. saw her earn the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of Year awards and be an All-American. Also, she was an integral player in helping the Trojans to make it to it to the Final Four. After her sophomore year, she experienced a terrible personal loss and still earned the distinction of being an All-American. In her last two years she led the Trojans up to the summit and clinched consecutive national championships. As an individual she established herself as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players in the country. Ross was a student of international relations at USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter reach the top of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mother died of breast carcinoma in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. But, she will always remember her deceased parent close and dear. Margie, on the beach and in daily life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
