Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne or [pa:dUkoborn on January 5, 1986) is an Indian actress that is mostly in Hindi films. Padukone is among the highest-paid actresses in India Her awards are three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine ranked her as one of 100 influential people all over the world in 2018. She was also awarded with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is her mother's badminton legend Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. At the age of 16 she was a badminton player in national level championships but left her profession in sports in order to be a fashion designer. In 2006 she made her acting debut acting in the Kannada film Aishwarya. Padukone also played a two-part part alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood film, the romantic Om Shanti Om (2007) in which she was awarded an award called the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise for her performance as the lead character in Love Aaj Kal, but then suffered a short loss.
